Customers of Amazon’s Kindle e-reader will shortly be able to lend ebooks from libraries in the United States.
The retailer is joint with Overdrive, which already provides an e-book lending service via 11,000 American libraries. As yet Kindle possessors have not been able to download titles since the device applies a unique data file format.
