The Kings will stay in the city of Sacramento for leastwise another season after researching a move to Anaheim.
A formal petition to relocate had to be charged with the NBA by Monday afternoon, a deadline that had double been delayed.
The Maloof family has been the club’s majority owners since 1999 and had been conceiving a move to Anaheim’s Honda Center because of financial issues in the city and with the building now called Power Balance Pavilion.
